Drug trafficking has emerged as one of the major social problems in the United States. The flow of illicit drugs has intensified over time especially across the Mexican border. This opening has provided an opportunity even for illegal drug traffickers from other countries to pass through Mexico to enter the US for their outlawed business practices (U.S Department of Justice, 2010).
