a successful brainstorming session outcome
In promoting a
successful brainstorming session that brings a lot of ideas on specific issues
and determining the ideas that give best solutions, the following ideas are
important,
Having
fun; the brainstorming session is meant to be fun. The facilitator should play
music, or bring out food and other fun toys since humor stimulates creativity.
One way of starting the brainstorming session is by having the participants to
introduce themselves by answering life fun questions. For instance, you can ask
the participants what they don’t need more during the holidays. This question
will have many hilarious answers that will start off the session on the right
note sparking the sessions’ real ideas. These enable the participants to feel
relaxed as they joke around since this makes them further stretch their minds
leading to the production of creative ideas and greater participation in the
Brainstorming session.
Developing
a multi-functional team, in promoting a successful session and making it work
better, the Participants should come from varied groups of people with
different backgrounds and various departments in an organization. Individuals
who have vested in the session as well as the experienced regarding the
Brainstorming session should be invited instead of limiting the session to only
team members. In specialist areas, the outsiders can be involved to bring in
new ideas that may inspire the experts. When looking for Brainstorming
participants, cast a wide net where people from different groups are invited.
Also, out-of-work actor and poet friend may be considered in the session
participation. This is because the diverse minds are essential in creating a
diverse set of big ideas. This diverse team is expected to stay for the
complete session since losing a team member before ending the session can
de-motivate the team
